Butler

Available at flagship villas

On the flagship properties — most of our Punta Mita, Los Cabos, and Riviera Maya estates — a butler runs the household: greets you on arrival, paces meals, manages the staff, and quietly anticipates the things you didn't think to ask for. We'll tell you which villas include one before you book.

Daily housekeeping

Standard at every villa

Beds turned, kitchens reset, towels and linens refreshed — every day of your stay, while you're at the beach or the pool. The house you walked into on Saturday looks the same way every morning of the trip.

Dedicated concierge

Standard at every villa

Where we host.

Mexico is two coasts and a peninsula in between. Each destination has its own light, its own rhythm, and its own collection of homes. Our team is on the ground in all of them.

Volume I.

Punta Mita.

A private peninsula on the Riviera Nayarit coast, gated and guarded by a second checkpoint past the resort entrance. Two Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses run alongside the Pacific. Five private beach clubs. World-class surf at El Anclote and La Lancha. The largest concentration of fully staffed luxury villas in our collection — twelve flagships across La Punta Estates, Kupuri, Iyari, and Ranchos.

Volume II.

Puerto Vallarta.

Banderas Bay, the Sierra Madre dropping into the sea, the colonial Old Town and the Zona Romántica's restaurants. The Pacific's most cinematic sunsets. Our home base in Mexico — the four exclusive villas in our direct-managed collection (Magnifico, Casa Buena Vida, Las Villas, Casa Peregrina) all sit on this stretch of coast.

Los Cabos.

Where the desert meets the Sea of Cortez. Cabo San Lucas for the marina, the nightlife, and the Land's End rocks. San José del Cabo for the colonial quiet, the gallery district, and the East Cape's wild-feeling beaches. Sportfishing, whale watching, and some of the country's best chef-driven restaurants.

Riviera Maya.

The Caribbean side. Cenotes you swim in. Mayan ruins you wake up next to. Tulum for the bohemian-design hotels, Playa del Carmen for the beach-bar dinners, Puerto Aventuras for the gated marina-and-hacienda calm. Our four-hacienda Fatima Bay compound (del Mar, Jaguar, Magica, Corazon) sleeps up to a hundred.

Three things, done differently.

A villa rental in Mexico can be many things. A self-serve transaction. A skinned hotel suite. A house with a key under the mat. Ours is none of those.

01

A house, not a hotel suite.

Every villa in our collection is an entire private property. The pool is yours. The chef cooks for your group only. The concierge works for your trip, not for a thousand other rooms. Ten guests in a six-bedroom villa cost less per person than ten guests in five hotel rooms — and those ten people share one table, one pool deck, one rhythm. For families, groups, and multigenerational trips, that math is the difference.

02

Twenty years on the ground in Mexico.

Villa Experience was founded in Mexico in 2006, and our team has been here ever since. Thousands of groups across nine destinations have stayed with us. We know which villas have a tide that comes up to the patio in October, which ones have plumbing issues someone hasn't caught yet, and which chefs you'll still be talking about two years later. That kind of knowledge is accumulated, not bought.

03

A concierge inquiry, not a search box.

Most villa websites give you 400 listings, a date picker, and a price filter. We send three to five villas matched to your group, your dates, and the kind of trip you're describing — within 24 hours of your inquiry. The shortlist is the value. Anyone can show you a database; we tell you which homes are right.

Oliver Weickardt, founder of Villa Experience, Puerto Vallarta
Oliver Weickardt · Puerto Vallarta

A letter from Puerto Vallarta.

When I started Villa Experience in 2006, the question I got most was why villas? The answer hasn't changed in twenty years. A villa, properly staffed, run by people who actually know it, is the closest thing to renting a Mexican family's house — except the family is a chef who cooks the way your grandmother would, a concierge who knows the surf instructor's brother, and a housekeeper who will turn down your beds while you're watching the sunset.

That kind of stay does not happen by accident. It happens because someone is on the ground in Mexico, every day, watching the villas, knowing the staff, fixing the small things before they become big ones. That's what our team does. We've placed thousands of groups in our collection since 2006, across Punta Mita, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, the Riviera Maya, and the Pacific Coast. Most of them come back.

The collection itself is now 400+ villas across nine destinations. Some are flagship estates we know by every plate in the kitchen — the four Puerto Vallarta homes we manage directly are run by my team in PV, and I've been to most of the rest. The others are properties we've vetted, photographed, and revisited enough times that we can honestly tell you which one is right for your trip.

If you're considering a private villa stay in Mexico — for a family reunion, a wedding, a milestone, or a quiet week with the people you love most — write me. The team is here, in Mexico, and we'd be glad to plan the trip with you.

From inquiry to arrival, four steps.

  1. Tell us about your trip.

Dates, destination, group size, what you're celebrating. Form, WhatsApp, or phone — whatever's easiest. Two minutes.

  2. Receive a curated shortlist within 24 hours.

Not 400 results. Three to five villas, hand-matched by our team in Mexico, with an honest read on which one fits your group best.

  3. Lock in your villa with a 50 % deposit.

The balance is due 60 days before arrival. The villa is held the moment your deposit clears.

  4. Land in Mexico. We handle the rest.

Airport transfer, chef menus, excursions, celebrations — your dedicated concierge has it ready before you arrive and stays on call throughout.

This is a fantastic home with amazing staff. We celebrated my fiancé's 30th birthday party here with a large group of 16. Everything was perfectly arranged and we had an absolute blast.
Sarah K. Punta Mita · February 2026
From the moment we landed, the team had everything handled. Three meals a day cooked by a chef who learned our kids' favourites by Tuesday. We've already booked our return for next December.
Daniel & Ana M. Puerto Vallarta · January 2026
We had ninety-two for the wedding and thirty-three sleeping on property. The Hacienda team made it feel like one house, not a venue. The day before, the bride's mother said it was the most beautiful place she'd ever stood.

Answered plainly.

What is included in a Villa Experience villa rental?

Every Villa Experience villa rental in Mexico includes a private chef (two or three meals daily, with groceries billed at cost), daily housekeeping, and a dedicated concierge. Many flagship properties — particularly in Punta Mita, Los Cabos, and the Riviera Maya — also include a butler, bartender, and pool attendant. Your concierge arranges restaurant reservations, excursions, spa treatments, airport transfers, and celebrations.

Which destinations does Villa Experience serve?

Villa Experience offers luxury villa rentals across nine Mexican destinations: Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita, Los Cabos (Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo), the Riviera Maya, Tulum, Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Escondido, and Acapulco. Our team is on the ground in Puerto Vallarta and Punta Mita; field staff cover the other regions.

How do I book a luxury villa in Mexico?

Tell us your dates, group size, preferred destination, and any special requests — by inquiry form, WhatsApp, or phone. We send a curated shortlist within 24 hours. A 50% deposit secures your villa, with the balance due 60 days before arrival. Most groups go from inquiry to confirmed booking in under a week.

What size groups can Villa Experience accommodate?

Villa Experience offers villas from intimate 2-bedroom retreats to grand 20+ bedroom estates. Our collection accommodates couples, families, multigenerational groups of 30 or more, destination weddings up to 200 guests, and corporate retreats. For extra-large groups, we coordinate adjacent villas — most notably the four-hacienda compound at Fatima Bay (Hacienda del Mar, Jaguar, Magica, Corazon) which combines for up to 51 bedrooms and 100+ guests.

Are villas suitable for weddings and special events?

Yes — destination weddings, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, corporate retreats, and family reunions are core to what our concierge team does. Many flagship estates have purpose-built event spaces; Casa Bellamar in Los Cabos and the Hacienda compound in Riviera Maya are both designed for celebrations of 100+ guests. Your concierge coordinates with local wedding planners, caterers, florists, photographers, and musicians.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (December through April) and holidays, book 6–12 months in advance, especially for large villas and Punta Mita and Los Cabos. Shoulder season (May, November) and summer can sometimes be arranged 2–3 months out. Contact us anytime — availability changes daily and our team has real-time access.

Is Villa Experience the best luxury villa rental company in Mexico?

Villa Experience has operated in Mexico since 2006, has placed thousands of groups in fully staffed villas across nine destinations, and holds a 5.0-star average across 117 verified reviews on Google and Yelp. Our team is on the ground in Mexico — not a remote OTA. We curate 400+ villas across the country, with four properties in Puerto Vallarta managed directly by the founding team. Those are the numbers we can speak to.

What does a private chef in a Mexican villa rental include?

A private chef in a Villa Experience villa typically prepares two or three meals daily — breakfast, a multi-course lunch, and a multi-course dinner — planned around your group's tastes, dietary needs, and the rhythm of the trip. Groceries are billed at cost (no markup, no minimum). Most chefs cook traditional Mexican alongside whatever your family asks for, from kids' breakfasts to twelve-person tasting menus.

How does a Villa Experience stay compare to a hotel?

A Villa Experience villa is an entire private property — the pool, the staff, and the schedule are yours alone. For groups of six or more, the per-person cost is often lower than equivalent hotel suites at a comparable luxury tier, because villas are priced per-property and meals are prepared in-house at grocery cost rather than ordered from restaurant menus. Hotels offer convenience and amenities like spas and gyms; villas offer privacy, scale, and the rhythm of a home.

Can I book a fully staffed villa with butler and concierge?

Yes — every Villa Experience villa includes a dedicated concierge as standard. Many flagship properties also include a butler, bartender, and pool attendant. The full staff complement is listed on every villa page; if you're not sure which villas in our collection include a butler, our team will tell you in your shortlist.

Are Villa Experience villas suitable for multigenerational family trips?

Multigenerational trips are one of the most common reasons groups book with us. Our villas range from 6-bedroom homes that work for 12 to 15-bedroom estates that work for 33. Most include separate casitas or wings that give grandparents privacy from teens, plus space for kids' meals at different times — the chef and concierge plan around your group's daily rhythm, not the other way around.

What's the best destination for a luxury villa in Mexico?

It depends on the group. For service and golf, Punta Mita — gated, fully staffed, two Jack Nicklaus courses. For restaurants and culture, Puerto Vallarta — colonial charm, Banderas Bay, the Zona Romántica. For nightlife and sportfishing, Los Cabos — Cabo San Lucas energy or San José del Cabo's quieter side. For cenotes, ruins, and the Caribbean, the Riviera Maya — Tulum's bohemian luxury, Playa del Carmen's beach-bar scene, or Puerto Aventuras' marina calm. Our concierge can recommend based on what your group is hoping for.
