On the Jalisco coast between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo, where the Sierra Madre runs down to the Pacific in a series of headlands and white beaches. The nearest town is small enough to walk across in ten minutes.

Two, both villas rather than condos, of six suites each, sleeping twelve. One is above the sand at Playas Paraíso; the other stands on the slope with every principal room facing the water.

Very little, by design — that is the point of the coast. Our houses carry the amenities: infinity pools, an outdoor jacuzzi, a cold plunge, a tennis court, fire-pit lounges, outdoor kitchens and rooftops. The beaches below are white and largely empty.

Each house takes twelve across six suites, with the suites spread between a main building and a bungalow in one case, so a group has room to separate. Two houses booked together take twenty-four.
