Wonderful Relaxing Visit

All the previous reviews are correct!!! This hotel is very special and deserves your consideration. We stayed in the Paradise Cove Casita which is on the 2nd floor. The height allows one to have ocean views from 2 sides of the casita. One balcony overlooks the pool and the other in the bedroom overlooks the open ocean. Guest noise is not an issue at this hotel! The hotel is a short walk from La Entrega beach where one can swim and enjoy a meal. El Violin beach is a steep walk down. While there we didn't see anyone there but we were told some canoe or paddle board there. Taxis are inexpensive and arrive quickly. There are restaurants in town that require a reservation. Be sure to have the staff call one in as soon as you arrive. Wifi continues to be a challenge here. If you have mobility issues the stairs can be a challenge. The balconies are not child safe. The hotel offers a a/c van for airport pick up for $550 pesos although taxis are readily available a short distance at the OXOX(it really is a short walk from the terminal). We visited the Haga Sophia gardens and took a catamaran sail while there to see 5 of the 9 bays both well worthwhile.

We cannot say enough about Las Palmas! Spoiler alert: it was amazing and if you have read this far and seen the pictures, just book it right now. You will love it! Staff: Talina lives on the property and is one of the most amazing and easiest people to work with. She is considerate, smart and well prepared for anything you might need during your stay. She was also our wedding coordinator, and thought of all kinds of details that really made our weekend special. Oscar and Omar were equally kind, professional and considerate of anything we might need. We cannot say thank you enough to the wonderful staff at Las Palmas including those behind the scenes that we did not mention. Location: The pictures do not do this place justice. REALLY. I thought it would be the opposite, and being there in person would disappoint. This is far from the case and the views, the serenity and the privacy were breathtaking. Wedding: The pictures are breathtaking and this was the perfect resort for my husband and I plus the 18 couples we invited to be with us. There are some really significant differences between the rooms (views, size, etc) so try to get the master suite in Turtle and Dolphin to never need to leave your rooms. The views are just spectacular. Amenities: We had massages in our rooms overlooking the private beach, manicures and pedicures, and access to the wet bar in the main palapa which includes (free to a good stomach!) any leftover alcohol from previous guests. The infinity pools were hard to force ourselves out of as the three pools all have total different views and amount of shading so we just went from one to another. I think that's enough. This place is really really amazing. We hope to make a family reunion vacation out of it every year!

Our stay in Huatulco

My girlfriend and I wanted to visit a ''southern'' location for our holidays and we ended up discovering Las Palmas while browsing various websites. The pictures of the casitas were what hooked us, and we decided to rent the Paradise Cove Casita (you can view it on their website). Here's how our stay went: - Location: The place is amazing. Beautiful coastlines, beaches, natural parks and jungles. Wonderful wheather also helped us enjoy the nature and take multiple excursions. The region is worth discovering. - Hotel & Staff: Now these guys made our stay. Would it be the Hotel Manager (Talina) or the 2 concierges (Daniel and Oscar), they were always there to help us enhance our stay and point us (or reserve) towards the next activity we should spend time doing. There is a fine line between being too present, and not enough and these guys and girls know what they are doing. A+ for being very hospitable, always smilling, cracking a joke or trying to figure out how we could be happier, and then providing it. Again, I insist, they have a great team. (They also spoke French and English in addition to the obvious Spanish. Being Franco Canadians, this was a pleasant surprise.) - Rooms: We rented the Paradise Cove Casita and we were extremely happy with our choice. Amazing view, plenty of room and space. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, eating and storing our food. The AC was welcomed on the hotter days. The cleaning staff always figured out when we would be out in order to do their rounds and always did a great job. Here is my Pros and Cons list to wrap the review: Pros: - Beautiful location // Beautiful region - Great staff, very frriendly and welcoming but not too much either. - Casitas are amazing. Very comfortable and practical. - Close to everything (we wanted): Big national parks with overwhelming nature, nice beaches, small towns with great restaurants and small shops (5 mins away) - International airport being 20KM away is fantastic when coming from a far away location Cons: - We had to leave at the end of our vacation. Great stay, great location, great people. A little more expensive than smaller hotels but I can vouch for the quality of the spent buck.

We had a wonderful time at Las Palmas. Views are spectacular. Daniel is amazing. I would highly recommended it. Sun was up at 6am and our room was really bright made it hard to get sleep with a 2 year old. Everything was great.

Perfect vacation destination in a hidden Mexican Jewel!

My family and I had vacationed in Huatulco twice before and stayed on another property. This time we had more people and looked for a villa that was not overly expensive. The second I saw the images on the Las Palmas website I knew we had found our place. Our expectation only grew as our vacation got closer. The second we walked in to our villa my kids could not stop screaming from the excitement. The images do not due this place justice. Everything is just perfect. The rooms are HUGE and extremely comfortable. The kitchen, living room and dining room are open and so roomy. My one daughter summarized it perfectly when she said "We're like the Mexican Kardashians!" The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. We had Dona Josefina take care of us and she was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of us and always made sure we had plenty of food and beverages around. She knew what each of us liked and made sure he had it. The food was tremendous! Apparently the were a few days where all the villas and casitas were occupied but we had no idea. We felt like we were just at home, except there was an infinity pool and a beach around the corner! It will be impossible to go back to Huatulco and not stay at Las Palmas!
