What to book in Los Cabos

Villa ExperienceExperiences · Los CabosNovember 2026

Baja California Sur · Desert meets Pacific

The Arch and Lover's Beach Tour with a snorkel stop is the one booking that makes a Cabo trip, and between December and April the Whale Watching Boat Trip with an All-Women Crew is the other. Beyond those it is Cabo Pulmo's living reef, the sea lions at Espiritu Santo, and the kitchens of San Jose del Cabo.

Frequently asked

Answered plainly

When is whale season?

Our catalogue dates the Cabo whale-watching trips December to April, and they are the only tours on this page we date. Everything else runs year round, though the Thursday Art Walk in San Jose del Cabo keeps its own seasonal calendar.

Which tours are a long way from the villas?

Three. The Espiritu Santo sea lions and the La Paz whale shark swim both leave from La Paz, about two hours from Cabo, and the private Todos Santos and Balandra day is a thirteen-hour round trip. Cabo Pulmo is about two hours from San Jose del Cabo and you drive yourself. The rest start in the two towns or collect you.

Which suit families?

The Arch and Lover's Beach boat, the camel ride on the beach and the Costa Azul surf lesson all work with children. Whale watching does too, in season. The UTV and rappelling days carry operator minimum ages.

Is there a tour that is not a party boat?

Yes, and it is why the sunset sail is on this list. The Cabo Luxury Sunset Sailing Adventure is a quiet boat; most of what a search returns for Cabo sunsets is an open bar with a sound system. The private yacht trip is the other way to avoid a crowd.

How does booking work?

Every tour here books on GetYourGuide. We pick them and keep them checked; the operator holds the booking, the payment and the cancellation terms. We earn a commission on the links, as the page says at the bottom.
