Villa Palmar

Villa Palmar stands in Las Palmas, a residential pocket in the middle of the Punta Mita peninsula where the houses face the fairways rather than the sand. Three bedrooms sleep eight. The architecture is hacienda in temper: thick white walls, beamed timber ceilings over the main rooms, stone-clad feature walls and a sequence of planted courtyards that carry daylight and greenery deep into the interior. The house is single-storey and arranged around its pool, with a covered terrace between the two that runs the length of the living space and looks over the golf course to the palms beyond.

Two walls of the living room slide back onto that terrace, so the seating area, the dining table for eight and the open kitchen with its island all share the same outlook. Ceilings are high and beamed, floors are local stone, and ceiling fans work alongside the air conditioning throughout. The master suite holds a carved four-poster king and an ensuite bathroom built around a soaking tub and a walk-in shower open to a private planted courtyard. A second bedroom holds a four-poster king with its own ensuite and a writing desk, and the third holds two queen beds beneath woven headboards, also ensuite. Each room opens to garden or terrace.

Daily housekeeping is included and a personal concierge handles the arrangements before and during the stay. A private chef, butler, housekeeping upgrades, pre-arrival grocery stocking, in-villa spa and wellness treatments, transportation and additional golf-cart rental are all available at further cost. The stay carries a Premier Golf Membership at Club Punta Mita, opening the private beach clubs at Pacifico, Kupuri, Sufi Ocean Club and the St Regis, the two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses at Pacifico and Bahia, the tennis, pickleball and paddle courts and the fitness centre, with preferential tee times on both courses. A six-passenger golf cart comes with the house.

Las Palmas sits close to the centre of the resort, which makes most of it a short cart ride away: the clubhouse and the first tee one direction, the Pacifico and Kupuri beach clubs another, the marina and the El Anclote surf break beyond. The fishing village of Punta de Mita and its restaurants are around ten minutes by road, Sayulita twenty-five, and Puerto Vallarta International Airport roughly forty.
