Mita Select

Mita Select sits within the UAVI Beachfront Residences at Punta de Mita, framed by more than two kilometres of white sand in a master-planned community built along the water. Four bedrooms sleep ten. The interior is contemporary and pale — plaster walls, blond timber, woven wall pieces, deep linen seating — and the plan is opened up so that the Pacific is visible from the kitchen as readily as from the terrace. It is a residence designed around the view rather than decorated in spite of it.

An open-plan chef’s kitchen runs into generous living and dining areas, which give in turn onto a beachfront terrace with a private jacuzzi and a dining table set for the evening. A media room with its own seating doubles as a workspace for anyone who needs one. Two bedrooms take the ocean side, each with a king bed and doors to a private balcony above the sand; a third holds a king with a garden outlook and a fourth is fitted with two queen beds, which is what makes the residence work for a family. Four bathrooms serve the plan, each finished in the same pale stone and warm wood as the living areas.

Guests have the full use of the residence and of the amenities within the UAVI complex, including its beach club and resort-level services. A personal concierge arranges everything else at additional cost: pre-arrival grocery stocking, private chefs, butlers, housekeeping, transportation, golf-cart rental, spa and wellness treatments, tequila tastings and custom excursions. The model suits a group that would rather choose its services week by week than take a fixed staffing arrangement, and the beach club fills in the rest of the day.

Punta de Mita town is a few minutes away, with its restaurants, fish market and the pangas that run out to the Marietas Islands. The gated Punta Mita resort and its two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses begin just to the north, Sayulita is around twenty-five minutes by road, and Puerto Vallarta International Airport roughly forty. The beach in front is swimmable and long enough to walk for an hour in either direction. For a family holiday or a group who want sand rather than fairway, Mita Select offers Villa Experience guests a genuinely beachfront address at the quieter end of the bay.
