Casa Akama

Casa Akama is a nine-bedroom beachfront estate within the Ranchos community of Punta Mita, designed by architect Manolo Mestre with interiors by Joaquin Homs. The property spans 25,000 square feet on a two-acre lot and accommodates up to twenty guests, with direct access to what is widely regarded as the finest swimmable white-sand beach within Punta Mita’s gates. Four oceanfront master suites open directly to the Pacific through private terraces, while five additional ensuite bedrooms provide flexible configurations for larger groups. All nine bedrooms are equipped with Four Seasons Signature mattresses, wireless Sonos audio, smart TVs, coffee and tea stations, and mini fridges — a level of in-room amenity that reflects the property’s positioning as a fully serviced estate rather than a standard villa rental.

The outdoor spaces are anchored by a massive heated infinity pool and an oversized hot tub, both overlooking the Bay of Banderas and the Marietas Islands. Manicured lawns lead directly to the beach, and a grand alfresco palapa serves as the social center of the property with lounge seating, a full bar, and a dining area. Indoors, the estate features Mexico’s only commercial-grade Dolby Atmos private cinema with reclining theatre seats and Kaleidescape entertainment, a family TV room with a 100-inch Sony screen and Devialet Phantom speakers, a private spa, and a fully equipped gym. Japanese toilets are installed throughout the property.

A dedicated staff of ten manages every aspect of the stay: daily housekeeping and laundry, a bartender and waiter, an on-site house manager, and a chef with culinary team who prepare three meals daily using locally sourced organic ingredients. A six-passenger golf cart is included. Additional services available upon request include jet-ski rentals, a 51-foot Sealine private yacht, live entertainment, and fireworks — the kind of arrangements that cater to celebrations and events at a scale most villas cannot support. A food and beverage deposit of $150 USD per person per day is required prior to arrival, with a 15% service charge on groceries and concierge services.

The Premier Golf Membership provides access to both Jack Nicklaus championship courses, the Greg Norman Higuera course, tennis and pickleball courts, the fitness center, and the resort’s beach clubs — Pacífico, Sufi Ocean Club, Kupuri, the Surf Club, and St. Regis Sea Breeze.
