A day on the south shore of Banderas Bay: walk the fishing village of Yelapa with a guide, see its waterfall, then snorkel and eat on the sand at Majahuitas, a beach reached only by boat.
Yelapa is a fishing village on the south shore of Banderas Bay with no road in: you arrive by boat, about 45 minutes to an hour from Puerto Vallarta. This Yelapa tour takes you through its cobblestone streets and murals with a guide, with views of the beach, the river and the foothills of the Sierra Madre.
The Yelapa waterfall is at its fullest in the rainy season. From the village the boat moves on to Majahuitas, a beach reached only from the sea, for snorkeling, kayaks, paddleboards and a barbecue lunch on the sand.
In Yelapa, try the local pie and look at the handmade crafts before the boat moves on.

Past Los Arcos to the south shore: Yelapa's bay from the air, the painted welcome sign in the village, the waterfall in the hills, snorkelling and paddleboarding off Majahuitas.
