All Terrain Safari an ATV tour south of Puerto Vallarta.
An ATV jungle tour in the Sierra Madre: a vintage Unimog down the coast, a hand-cut off-road route at the wheel of a Polaris RZR, and a walk to a waterfall.
Through town, then into the hills.
All Terrain Safari is an ATV tour in Puerto Vallarta’s mountains, on a private reserve in the Sierra Madre about six miles south of town. The day starts in one of Vallarta Adventures’ yellow Unimog trucks, through downtown and along the coast road past Conchas Chinas, Mismaloya and the view of Los Arcos, to a base camp beyond Boca de Tomatlán.
At base camp you take the wheel of a Polaris RZR and follow your guide along a route cut by hand into the hillside: rocky trails, steep climbs, stream crossings and tight turns. Along the way the engines go off for a short walk to a waterfall with a natural pool.
The route is cut by hand, and it asks something of whoever is at the wheel.

One route, at the wheel.
All Terrain Safari runs as a shared small-group tour, operated by Vallarta Adventures and booked through us.
Our concierge confirms availability and books it for you.
For a villa group, allow one vehicle for every two drivers; our concierge books them together. For a private ride, see the ATV Punta Mita & Sayulita tour on our Sayulita ATV page.
