6 of us for four nights at Hacienda Corazon. Ten bedrooms — everyone had space. The chef wasn’t showy but every meal was good. We explored the area and enjoyed the local restaurants. The pool became our default activity. Mosquitoes showed up around 6pm — the villa has coils that work.

Corazón is a full-on estate — ten bedrooms, beachfront, pool, multiple terraces. chef prepared dinner nightly while we explored during the day. We had twenty people for a family reunion and never felt crowded. The beach is right there. Cenote Dos Ojos is a short drive. The property has an old-world hacienda style with modern plumbing. A few doors stick in the humidity — cosmetic, not structural.

Third annual trip to the area, first at Hacienda Corazon. Ten bedrooms for our group of 18. Regional ingredients, prepared with knowledge — the chef understood the area. We drove along the coast and went for long walks. That terrace could host a dinner party for twenty. Best one yet.
