Casa Mare

Casa Mare stands in Kupuri, on the high ground of the Punta Mita peninsula, where the land falls away far enough that the whole sweep of Banderas Bay sits in front of the house. Six bedrooms sleep fourteen. The architecture is contemporary and unfussy — floor-to-ceiling glass, pale stone, warm timber screens and a long horizontal roofline — and it is arranged so that almost every room has the water in it. The house was designed for groups who arrive together and stay put, and it holds enough inside it that leaving the property becomes a choice rather than a necessity.

A single terrace runs the length of the building, holding a glass-edged infinity pool, a sunken jacuzzi, shaded lounges, a dining table and a covered outdoor living room with its own television. Inside, the living and dining areas open onto that terrace through sliding walls, and a gourmet kitchen backs onto a separate professional service kitchen used by the villa’s own staff. The six bedrooms are all ensuite and air-conditioned: a king master, a second king room, three rooms with two queen beds each, and a bunk room for children. Six bathrooms and a guest powder room serve the house.

The interior programme is unusually complete for a house of this size. A private gym holds cardio and weight equipment, a dedicated massage room takes in-villa treatments, and a cinema room seats the group for the evening. Staff are on site daily and prepare breakfast and lunch in the house, with groceries billed separately; housekeeping is included. A private chef for dinner, a butler, a bartender, pre-arrival grocery stocking, airport transfers, babysitting and yacht charters are arranged on request. The stay carries a Premier Golf Membership at Club Punta Mita and two six-passenger golf carts.

That membership opens the private beach clubs at Pacifico, Kupuri, Sufi and the St Regis, the two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses at Pacifico and Bahia, the tennis, pickleball and paddle courts, the gym, the pilates studio and the Kids Club, with preferential tee times on both courses. The Kupuri beach club is minutes away by cart, Punta de Mita town about ten, Sayulita twenty-five by road, and Puerto Vallarta International Airport roughly forty.
