The day
Under sail, at an easy pace.
This is a small-group sailing and catamaran tour: Puerto Vallarta’s coastline and the Sierra Madre from the water, six hours on Banderas Bay, and a minimum age of 16. You sail on a Leopard catamaran or a Beneteau monohull, both French-built, and the boat is assigned by numbers on the day.
The crew picks quiet spots along the coast to stop for a swim, a snorkel or a paddleboard, and the captains will show you the basics of sailing if you want to try. Lunch is appetisers and a gourmet sandwich, with guacamole, tropical fruit and a charcuterie board, and the open bar pours cocktails, wine and beer.
It suits couples and adult villa groups who want a slow day on the water, with the wind doing the work.

Catamaran or sailboat: can we choose?
No. The boat, a Leopard catamaran or a Beneteau sailboat, is assigned by the number of guests. Both sail under wind power.
Is this a good adults-only boat tour for a group from the villa?
Yes, for a small adult group. For a larger group, or to have the boat to yourselves, our concierge can arrange a private charter.
