The place

Why Huatulco?

Huatulco is Oaxaca’s nine-bay coast — thirty-six beaches folded into a shoreline where much of the water lies inside a national park. It is the Pacific at its clearest and calmest, with Oaxacan food and mezcal culture up the hill.

Our Huatulco presence is intimate — a staffed house above the sand, with daily housekeeping and a dedicated concierge, and advisors who know the coast personally.

Guest reviews

In their words.

The property is exactly as pictured, which is what sold me on staying there, but it is even better than that! The property is so expansive; there are so many places to be and relax and enjoy the beauty. Apart from the idyllic setting, the staff are who made this trip so extraordinary.

We could not have been happier with the decision to stay at this place… We would absolutely stay here again and bring more friends along. Even the management was very accommodating and asked us for things we didn’t even think about.

This house and its incredible team exceeded our wildest expectations in every conceivable way. We came to celebrate my 40th birthday with a group of six friends, and what we experienced was nothing short of magical.

Frequently asked

Answered plainly.

01Where is Huatulco?

Huatulco is on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, in Mexico's south. Bahías de Huatulco International Airport (HUX) is about 20–30 minutes from the bays, with connections through Mexico City and seasonal direct flights. Your concierge arranges private transfers.

02What are the nine bays of Huatulco?

Huatulco's shoreline folds into nine bays and some thirty-six beaches, much of it protected as a national park — which is why the water here is some of the clearest, calmest swimming on the Pacific coast. Some bays hold marinas and restaurants; others are reachable only by boat and feel entirely your own.

03What services are included in a Huatulco villa rental?

Every Huatulco home booked through Villa Experience includes daily housekeeping and a dedicated concierge; private chefs are included at most villas and arranged at the rest. Your concierge arranges bay-hopping boat days, snorkeling, coffee-finca visits in the Oaxacan hills, and mezcal tastings.

04When is the best time to visit Huatulco?

Huatulco is warm year-round with more than its share of sunshine. The dry months from November through May bring the clearest skies and calmest seas; summer and early fall are greener with brief afternoon showers. Whale sightings and sailfish season favor the winter months.
