Villa Bella Vita is a breathtaking hacienda-style beachfront estate on the renowned and secluded shores of Tankah Bay, where classic Spanish architecture blends with relaxed Caribbean charm to create one of the most impressive private villa experiences on the Riviera Maya. Spanning nearly six thousand square feet across two levels, this Mediterranean-inspired residence accommodates up to twenty guests across eight exquisitely furnished bedrooms, with whitewashed walls, arched doorways, expansive ocean views, and palm-fringed gardens that seamlessly blend warm traditional design with the tropical surroundings. Just minutes from Tulum and approximately forty minutes from Playa del Carmen, Bella Vita offers the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility.
The upper level houses four bedrooms, two with king beds and stunning ocean-view balconies with seating areas, and two with queen beds featuring jungle and partial ocean views from their private balconies. Each includes air conditioning, ceiling fans, ensuite bathrooms with showers, hairdryers, TVs, WiFi, safety boxes, toiletries, and window screens. The ground level features four additional bedrooms, all with king beds and ensuite bathrooms. Two ground-floor rooms enjoy direct ocean views with pool access from their terraces, while the remaining two garden-facing suites provide a more secluded retreat. The flow of the house unites everyone through spacious common areas while offering private nooks for quiet moments.
The outdoor spaces are designed for both relaxation and celebration. A heated infinity swimming pool with ocean views anchors the terrace, flanked by a poolside cocktail bar, sun loungers, and in-pool lounges. Your stay includes a full staff devoted to exceptional service: a villa manager, butler service from eight in the morning to eight at night, daily housekeeping from eight to four, and chef service throughout the day. Groceries are additional with a twenty percent shopping fee. Complimentary round-trip premium airport transfers are included for bookings over four nights. Cancun International Airport is approximately ninety minutes north, and the new Tulum International Airport is significantly closer.

Three generations, five families, one incredible week. With 8 bedrooms, nobody felt crowded. Don’t skip watching turtles nest at night if you go. Caribbean water really is that turquoise. Access road could use repaving. Drive slow. Worth the splurge.

The hacienda architecture at Bella Vita surprised us — thick walls, tiled floors, courtyard proportions that channel the Caribbean breeze. The standout: eight bedrooms across two levels, chef made Yucatecan breakfast spreads we lingered over until noon, we snorkeled Tankah Bay and visited cenotes. The beachfront is calm and swimmable.

Bella Vita — beautiful life. The house itself is straightforward: eight bedrooms, open-air common areas, natural materials. pool, chef service, no frills. What it has is a Tulum setting that’s peaceful and walkable to the beach. We ate out every night, cooked breakfast, and spent afternoons reading in hammocks. Geckos share the living room. The lack of AC in common areas is noticeable at midday — bedrooms have it though.

Tankah Bay is quieter than Tulum beach — that’s why we chose Bella Vita. Eight bedrooms, our group of fourteen had genuine space. Chef adapted menus to a vegetarian, two kids, and one very picky uncle. We kayaked from the property and saw rays. The garden hammocks saw more action than the pool some days.

Came to Bella Vita for a yoga retreat. The beachfront terrace hosted morning sessions with the Caribbean as backdrop. Eight bedrooms meant each participant had privacy. Cook prepared clean, beautiful meals aligned with the practice. We cenote-swam as our afternoon meditation. The property supports stillness.

What can I say? My kids discovered crabs on the Tankah Bay beach and spent four days cataloguing species instead of looking at screens. Bella Vita’s beachfront is gentle enough for children. Chef won them over with fish tacos. Eight bedrooms — the master has the best ocean angle. Generator handled two power dips seamlessly.

We booked Bella Vita for the kitchen — serious equipment, good knives, counter space for six cooks. Chef taught us a regional mole technique on day two. Eight bedrooms, beachfront, Caribbean warm enough to swim at sunset. We visited Sian Ka’an and cenotes between cooking sessions. The property smells like lime and cilantro permanently.
