The white aesthetic amplifies the Caribbean light until the whole house glows. It’s a design choice that works brilliantly here. The cook’s seafood was Caribbean-fresh every evening — we had the best ceviche of our lives on night three. Playacar’s gates meant a calm beach, kids running free, nobody worried. We took the ferry to Cozumel for snorkeling, visited Xaman Ha ruins (they’re INSIDE the community, which blew my mind), walked to 5th Avenue for drinks. My daughter’s already asking when we’re going back. The answer is January.

Nube Blanca lives up to white cloud — the whitewashed walls catch the light differently every hour. Chef’s morning smoothies with local fruit set the day’s tone. We surfed, explored the coast, napped hard. The outdoor shower with ocean sounds is a highlight. Simple, clean, restorative. Nube Blanca lives.

Nube Blanca — white cloud. The rooftop terrace at sunset makes the name make sense. Six bedrooms, pool, Caribbean views. The cook made dinners — we handled our own breakfasts. We ate at a different place every night and never had a bad meal. Cenotes during the day, rooftop at sunset, restaurants at night. The rhythm was perfect. Some of the open-air areas attract evening mosquitoes — repellent helps.
