After its successful start last year, the Baja International Film Festival is warming up for its second edition on Nov 13th to 17th in Cabo San Lucas. Showcasing Mexican and international films, the Baja Festival concedes awards to the best feature, documentary and short films in both Mexican and international categories with the ambitious aim of becoming a household name in the filming industry such as Toronto and Sundance, while marketing Mexican films for international screens.
The deadline to present original films for the competition is yet to be announced, just keep an eye on the baja festival’s website and Facebook page for up-to-date news and special guests.
When we found out Matt Dillon and Edward Norton were the recipients of a tribute distinction during the first festival edition, we nearly fainted! The leading star of favorite movies such as Crash (2004) and Factotum (2005) received a deserved tribute award for his outstanding contribution to cinema while Norton, of Fight Club (1999) and The Illusionist (2006), got a tribute for his undeniable achievements in acting.
